RAMAN ASHTA, MD

I am a board certified family physician in practice for over 10 years. Born and raised in India, I attended Government Medical College, Amritsar. I completed my Family Medicine Residency at Forbes Family Medicine Residency Program in Monroeville, PA.

Shortly after I started practicing medicine, I realized that medications alone are not the answer to most of the chronic health issues prevalent in the modern society. Changes in lifestyle are equally, if not more important in managing and treating metabolic issues like obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart disease. That led me to obtain certification through American Board of Obesity Medicine. Taking care of your body with good nutrition, movement, sleep and stress management lessens or sometimes obviates the need for medications. As your doctor, I will help you achieve your best health.

My areas of interest are:
- Preventive health
- Women's health
- Metabolic Health and Weight Management
- Chronic disease management

I look forward to being your physician. Call 321-341-1700 for appointment.
